Lost and Found
You're rifling through some artifacts at a garage sale and you happen upon somebody's personal letter.
Do you:
A) Carry it reverently to the seller. Make eye-contact and say discreetly "You might not want to sell this"
B) Buy the whole box, letter included, on the off-chance you've captured someone's steamy love-missive.
If you answered A, skip today's Shot and come back tomorrow.
Otherwise, clear your social calendar for tomorrow night and get yourself a ticket to Dirty Found's I Don't Want It Back Tour.
To understand Dirty Found, it helps to know Found Magazine, which has made an art of publishing random found items. In fact, if you don't know Found, sit a spell and go through the sometimes moving, often hilarious "Find of the Week" section of their Web site.
Dirty Found is its saucy sister mag. And for one night in L.A. you can hear readings from Dirty Found's collection, including "pervy Polaroids, sleazy birthday cards, raunchy to-do lists, nasty poetry on napkins, illustrations — anything that gives a glimpse into someone else's sex life."
In the intimate setting of the pint-sized Steve Allen Theatre, it's voyeurism at its best. And you won't have to get up at the crack of dawn to beat out the other buyers.
