Honest Abe
In the 15 months since it opened, the Lincoln has scored some cred as a place that serves respectable steaks in a setting you might call … elegant.
But not elegant like your grandma's chandelier. We're talking hip elegance. Dark palette, mirrored accents, and framed artwork that hangs on walls that aren't there. And yes, chandeliers — but funky. Made of antlers.
Steaks are the main event. Delectable cuts of filet mignon, porterhouse or aged NY strip with an average price of $35. Wines are drawn from a list of over 85 selections, and by the glass range from $8 to $16.
But that's full price. Sunday and Monday nights, are the Lincoln's Half-Price-Wine Nights. You can save a little, like half off a $32 bottle of 2003 Russian River Sauvignon Blanc. Or a lot. Splurge on a $285 bottle of 2001 Caymus "Special Selection" and you've saved yourself a Benjamin and a couple Jacksons.
Show on hiatus? Get there before six any night of the week for the $25 three-course prix-fix menu. This is such an under-used promotion you might have to remind the staff that it does indeed exist. And you're likely to have the restaurant all to yourself.
But at least you might still have some Lincolns in your wallet when you leave.
