By day … well, you do your job.
But by night you're a warrior. You have power. You have rippling muscles. You ascend to levels you never dreamed would be yours for the conquering. You hang out with babes of improbable proportions, often your equal in strength and stamina.
Who wouldn't trade real life for a video game?
One week from tonight you can, when Video Games Live brings your fave gaming titles onto the big stage.
Rest your thumbs and open your ears while the L.A. Phil belts out tracks from video games of all eras and platforms. Tron, Mario, Myst, Halo. Even the Jurassic likes of Donkey Kong and Pong. No quarters needed.
Hard to beat these graphics: A theatrical stage show with live action stunts. Yeah, it sounds a little Power Rangers to us too — but the promoters promise it won't be cheesy. The action includes a live interactive video game played by a couple members of the audience. Bonus lives not included.
Tickets are still available at typical Hollywood Bowl prices, plus the extortionist fees added by Ticketmaster. Or use your powers to score a free pair from LAist.com. Contest ends at 6pm tonight.
