Hungry?
You have just a couple weeks to work up an appetite for the summer's big tasting event. How big? You won't believe it.
Sample dishes from over 40 L.A. restaurants. And not just any eateries. Angelini Osteria, Buddha's Belly, Chaya Venice, Cinch, The Farm of Beverly Hills, The Restaurant at the Getty, Il Grano, Il Moro, Joe’s, Luna Park, Maple Drive, and Ortolan. Hungry yet?
You'll want to come thirsty, too. Although, maybe you shouldn't try to sample all 400 wines to be served. Limit yourself to a few (dozen) but be sure to seek out Far Niente, Trefethen, and Justin Vineyards.
The ticket will put a $75 dent in your pocket, but you could recoup at the silent auction. In years past, certain items have sold for well below their actual value.
Even if you don't recoup, it's all for a good cause — the L.A. Free Clinic. They're calling it an Extravaganza for the Senses. And they don't just mean the big five. Expect a little extrasensory stimulation from fortunetellers on site.
It doesn't take a fortuneteller to know that you should get your tickets sooner rather than later. This Friday, prices jump from $75 to $90.
The Eighth Annual Extravaganza for the Senses happens July 16 at the 20th Century Fox Studios. Tickets are available at the L.A. Free Clinic Web site. |
