Musical Oasis
When it comes to music, the Coachella Music Festival separates the wheat
from the chaff. Either you're the kind of person who will drive two hours, endure long days in the desert sun and pay $152 for tickets
plus $35 for a camping space to see a zillion bands — or you're not.
This year's line up is pretty indicative of the state of the music industry as a whole — a mish-mash of artists looking for a genre. But by the time the dust settles Sunday night, the next big movement may have emerged.
There's little we can say about logistics that isn't covered on the festival
Web site. So instead, we offer this: A simple list of all the acts playing
at Coachella, linked wherever possible to their official Web site.
