Cool Aid
It's cool to give.
Sure there are a bunch of these so-called Awareness Bracelets out there. Lance Armstrong got the movement started with his yellow LIVESTRONG band supporting cancer research. Search the Internet today and you can find a bracelet for just about any cause.
While you're weighing which one is most worthy of your wrist real estate, consider this: Not even four months have passed since a giant wave swept over 11 Indian Ocean countries taking some estimated 217,000 lives with it and leaving millions homeless.
If you surf (waves, not Web pages) you know Southeast Asia as a surfing Mecca, which is why members of the surf community have taken up the cause.
The wrist bands are only $5 each and come in packs of four, eight and twelve. Keep one and sell the rest to your buds or keep a supply of extras on hand.
The money goes directly to SurfAid International which has been providing medical support to victims in Northern Sumatra.
Surfers will like that you can wear it in the water. We happen to like that it looks cool.
You can buy a package of SurfAid Relief Wristbands at WetSand.com
